We’re investing in continual training and creating partnerships with organizations that shape the future, like Riverside School Unified District. Our goal is to help inspire high school graduates to see how rewarding a blue-collar career truly is. At this point, only nine percent of high school students have plans to pursue a trade career.
We’re building a training facility and hiring summer interns from the local high schools. According to research on the blue-collar workforce, there are approximately six million unfilled skilled labor jobs in America. We want to assist in providing the skill required to fill these jobs, starting at the high school level. The owners of Magnolia Heating and Cooling are spending time guest speaking in high school classes, creating videos for virtual learning, hosting field trips to their facility and organizing weekend boot camps for high school students. Our hope is to inspire HVAC desire.
