POSITION TITLE: Summer Shop assistant

Result: Performs a variety of basic technical tasks related to assist Magnolia’s Field Team. Performs duties to deliver of excellent customer service and sustain high levels of client satisfaction.

All tactical work for which this position is accountable.

  1. Picks up and delivers parts required for department needs.
  2. Picks up and orders permits for all installation jobs.
  3. Work under supervision of the Installation manager to assist in the installation HVAC equipment and accessories in the client’s home.
  4. Basic knowledge of heating and cooling systems.
  5. Working knowledge of hand tools.
  6. Mechanical aptitude.
  7. Has Knowledge of all inventoried items and their location.
  8. Keep Shop Tidy and everything in it’s place.
  9. As needed or required, completes all paperwork in a neat, accurate, thorough, and timely manner.
  10. Represents the company professionally, honesty, and ethically in all business matters and concerns.
  11. Have working knowledge of electronic wiring diagrams, schematics, and architectural/mechanical blueprints.
  12. Adhere to all local, state, and federal building codes, practices and regulations.
  13. Communicate in a professional manner with co-employees, subcontractors, and clients.

 

POSITION TITLE: Shop assistant

  4. Work under supervision of the Installation manager to assist in the installation HVAC equipment and accessories in the client’s home.
  5. Investigates heating and air conditioning complaints; performs minor repair.
  6. Deliver of excellent customer service and sustain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  7. Basic knowledge of heating and cooling systems.
  8. Working knowledge of hand tools.
  9. Mechanical aptitude.
  10. Keep vehicle clean and neat both inside and outside in keeping with the company’s professional image.
  11. As needed or required, completes all paperwork in a neat, accurate, thorough, and timely manner.
  12. Represents the company professionally, honesty, and ethically in all business matters and concerns.
  13. Have working knowledge of electronic wiring diagrams, schematics, and architectural/mechanical blueprints.
  14. Adhere to all local, state, and federal building codes, practices and regulations.

POSITION TITLE: Installation Helper

Result: Assists with the installation of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment. As well as accessories, in accordance with Magnolia Heating and Cooling high standard and requirements and manufacture specifications, assists in the installation of ducts and duct fittings. Performs duties to deliver of excellent customer service and sustain high levels of client satisfaction.

All tactical work for which this position is accountable.

  1. Assists the Lead Installer in the install of residential HVAC equipment and accessories.
  2. Work under supervision of the Lead Installer to install HVAC equipment and accessories in the Client’s home.
  3. Assists in the delivery and removal of equipment needed to complete the installation work.
  4. Performs duties to deliver of excellent customer service and sustain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  5. Assists the Lead Installer in ensuring company property, vehicles, and tools are being properly used.
  6. Responsible for keeping installation vehicle clean and neat both inside and outside in keeping with the company’s professional image.
  7. As needed or required, completes all paperwork in a neat, accurate, thorough, and timely manner.
  8. Represents the company professionally, honesty, and ethically in all business matters and concerns.
  9. Have working knowledge of electronic wiring diagrams, schematics, and architectural/mechanical blueprints.
  10. Adhere to all local, state, and federal building codes, practices and regulations.
  11. EPA refrigerant handing certification cards.
  12. Communicate in a professional manner with co-workers, subcontractors, and Clients.

POSITION TITLE: Installer Lead

Result: To lead the installation of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment. As well as accessories, ducts and duct fittings and any other related HVAC components correctly and in a timely manner with a helper. They are responsible for completing all jobs to the guide lines of city codes, state codes, utility company requirements and Magnolia’s contracted agreement, with our high-level standards. Performs duties to deliver of excellent customer service and sustain high levels of client satisfaction.

REPORTING POSITIONS: These positions report directly to me and are accountable for producing the indicated result.
Position:Install Helper

Result: Assist the Lead Installer with the installation of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment, as well as accessories and ducts and duct fittings. All systems are installed in accordance with the company’s high standards and all code requirements and manufacture specifications.

  1. Install HVAC related equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.
  2. Receive, verify and load all equipment and materials needed for each job.
  3. Demonstrate and establish effective working relationships with co-workers and superiors.
  4. Properly fill out all paperwork required for each job.
  5. Take all readings on a machine and understand the importance of such.
  6. Ability to train new helpers to be effective and efficient, codes requirements and Magnolia’s installation standards.
  7. Premeasure jobs to identify proper materials required for install.
  8. Identifies problems in the field and develops a solution so that there are no further issues.
  9. Relays all issues to everybody during weekly meetings, or daily communications with management & office staff.
  10. Excellent customer service and problem solving skills.
  11. Mechanically inclined.
  12. Self-Motivated but able to take direction and be part of a team

  2. Valid CA driver’s License with a good driving record
  3. Work safely following company policies.
  4. Wire both line and low voltage to heating and cooling equipment.
  5. Install copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing
  6. Install sheet metal and flex duct systems in residential and light commercial buildings
  7. Properly connect gas lines to heating equipment
  8. Ability to safely lift up to 100lbs
  9. Able to tolerate temperatures above 120 for extended periods of time
  10. Able to work overtime, nights, and weekend hours
  11. Able to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl

 


 

POSITION TITLE: INSTALL MANAGER

Result: Retain long-term, quality installers. Manage production, and delivery of all new system installation based on contractual obligations to clients, manage costs based on the company’s financial objectives. Performs duties to deliver of excellent customer service and sustain high levels of client satisfaction.

REPORTING POSITIONS: These positions report directly to me and are accountable for producing the indicated result.

  • Position: HVAC Technician
    Result:
    Provide hands on support in all functions of maintenance including but not limited to: Air Conditioning repair, filter replacement, troubleshooting equipment and controls, HVAC problem solving, repairing/installing ductwork, repair & installation of volume dampers, thermostats, controls, energy management controls, thermostat/temperature sensors, interacting with service contractors, reviewing call center tickets for repair remedy, performing air balancing and low voltage repair.
     
  • Position: Install Helper
    Result: To aid the Lead Installer with the installation of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment, as well as accessories and ducts and duct fittings. All systems are to be installed in accordance with the company’s high standards and requirement and manufacture specifications.

  1. Design job installation plan.
  2. Responsible for the field crews, their management, their performance, their development and their accountability for Client satisfaction and installation profitability.
  3. In conjunction with CEO recruits, selects, hires, trains and develops essential personnel for the installation crews.
  4. Conducts personnel reviews and recommends wage increases if appropriate.
  5. Sets field procedures; ensures field crews adhere to installation procedures and processes, including paperwork, material handling, work processes, etc.
  6. Will plan agenda and have weekly safety and issue meetings with entire installation staff.
  7. Ensures that product assembly techniques are appropriate and consistent.
  8. Ensures that the work process is standardized and performed in a similar manner by all crews and field personnel.
  9. Ensures that Client relations and interface are professional and responsive.
  10. Ensures that equipment and job materials are 100% ordered and ready for the jobs starting day.
  11. Ensures that work rules and regulations are clear, understood and are enforced.

  1. Reviews plans, specifications and sites as necessary, reviewing those plans with the field leads and crews.
  2. Reviews work order packets for completeness and understanding, prior to distribution to the field crews.
  3. Handles field staff employee problems and disciplines personnel as necessary.
  4. Works with Clients in the analysis, estimating and Manual J planning of installations.
  5. Provides detailed installation estimates as required, including total hours, direct job costs and fixed quotes.
  6. Visits field installations on a regular basis, interfacing with leads and installation personnel, Clients, and Client third parties, monitoring the progress and quality of the work being done by the installation staff.
  7. Ensures that installations are on-time and complete, and done to the estimated dealer cost and man-hours.
  8. Order's all required materials need to complete installation.
